as with many other states, is home to dozens of land trusts and conservancies. These non-profit organizations protect hundreds of examples of the state’s exceptional natural, cultural, and historical heritage. Recently, I began compiling a running list of properties protected by those trusts recognized by the Land Trust Alliance. Almost two million acres are protected across nearly 100 trusts and conservancies!
